.... blush, thanks very much for the comment...Barb,
.... blush, thanks very much for the comments, it's very gratifying to read.

There are many other books in the hopper, though none so far as useful as Milevsky's.

I'm looking forward to your comments when you have read it to see what you think of it too. Mine is only one perspective.CanadianInvestorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05645767559302303541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5433839636644874439.post-40403012098396454612009-06-15T05:03:46.941+00:002009-06-15T05:03:46.941+00:00Should read "personal finance". And viola, an insightful and critical treatment! I purchased it specifically for the annuities information. As you point out, this book is definitely geared to the US market.

Thanks also for the links to his 2007 paper and the Manulife Retirement Solutions Centre. I think they will be valuable to look at and explore. I'll probably tuck a copy of your review in the book to help guide me when I finally do get to read it.

On a more general note, I would like to say thanks for the time and effort you put into your blog. When I first discovered the world of personnel finance blogs yours was the first I came across. I was awe struck to think all this information was suddenly available to me. I literally read it back to 2007 over several weekends. Your posts were inspiring and empowering. I particularly appreciated your level of research and your eye for detail. You always leave me with something new.

Kudos intrepid correspondent.

BarbAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
